How Fast Can You Move In After Applying?

You found the perfect home, submitted your application, and now… you wait. But how long does it really take before you can get your keys and move in? Let’s break down what actually happens behind the scenes — and how you can make it happen faster. 🚀

 

🔍 Step 1: Application Review

Once your application is submitted, our team verifies your information — income, rental history, and background screening. This step usually takes 1–2 business days, depending on how quickly your references and employer respond.
Pro tip: Let your references know we’ll be contacting them — it can save up to a full day!

 

🏁 Step 2: Approval & Holding Fee

Once approved, you’ll receive an offer to move forward. To secure the home, you’ll need to pay the holding fee (which includes your security deposit and move-in costs). This confirms the property is officially yours!
💡 Tip: The faster you pay the holding fee, the sooner your lease can be prepared and your move-in date scheduled.

 

📄 Step 3: Lease Signing

After your payment, we’ll prepare your lease for e-signature — quick, easy, and fully online. This step is usually done within 24 hours once everything is ready.

 

🔌 Step 4: Utilities & Move-In Prep

Before move-in, utilities must be transferred into your name and confirmed with our team.
📞 Why it matters: Without active utilities, we can’t complete city inspections or release keys.

 

🗝️ Step 5: Move-In Day!

Once your lease is signed, payment is complete, and utilities are active — you’re all set! 🎉
Most approved applicants can move in within 5–7 business days of approval if they complete all steps promptly.
